What are sound baths good for?

Sound restores our vibration to a state of harmony. And there is research to back it up. A recent study published in the Journal of Evidence-Based Integrative Medicine found that hour-long sound meditations help to reduce tension, anger, anxiety, and increase spiritual well-being in adults.

The crystal bowls played are the frequencies of the 7 chakras or well known energy centers of the body

Just as colour has a frequency, so too does sound. Our energy centres resonate to specific musical notes.

Root = C, Sacral = D, Solar Plexus = E, Heart = F, Throat = G, Third Eye = A, Crown = B

The other instruments part of this sound experience are Koshi chimes.

Elements: air, water, fire, earth.

You will be laying on the carpeted floor, there are chairs available if needed. Bring a yoga mat and blanket or whatever you require to be comfortable to laydown for about 30 minutes.

Evening agenda:

6:15pm:  Arrival time to get situated, have a cup of tea, meet new people and get to know your wellness community. 6:30pm: Meditation begins with our asks/intentions.

25-30 minutes: Sound and guided meditation 

7:15/7:30pm Complete our evening with sharing if you choose and good byes

 Malbert Lee, a Hong Kong-based Crystal Bowl and Gong Master, says vibrations are especially useful for healing the body. “The adult body is 75% water, and water is a great conductor for sound vibration,” he notes. “When vibrations travel through the body, they promote circulation, energy flow, and rejuvenation. The frequency of the sound synchronizes with the brainwaves and activates destress responses in the body.”
